Corsair Cove production chains work when resources can move from a deposit through producers and storage to the building or ship that consumes them. A full warehouse does not prove that a chain is healthy, because workers and crew keep consuming upkeep resources while production may already be below demand. To troubleshoot a chain, inspect input stock, output storage, Fetchers, building connections, transport distance, and the ratio between each stage.
Read the three resource groups
The official Resources material divides items into Construction Resources, Upkeep Resources, and Intermediate Resources. Construction Resources are used for buildings, ships, and repairs, with Planks appearing early and Stone Blocks and more advanced materials entering later. Upkeep Resources are consumed continuously by workers and crew, with Stew and Booze listed as early examples.
Intermediate Resources sit between those uses and can feed more than one chain. Hardwood is an important example because it supports construction and upkeep production through later processing. Follow input, processing, and use
The simplest chain begins with an available input, moves through a producer or refiner, and ends in storage or consumption. That ratio describes the building process, but the result still depends on whether Hardwood reaches the Sawmill and whether the output has a place to go.

Use Overviews before rebuilding
Production chains can be inspected in the Overviews interface with the default hotkey I. Red indicators or an unexpected pause are signals to inspect the route rather than immediately placing another producer.
Start with the first missing link. If the input stock is empty, check the deposit, the producer, and the Fetchers assigned to move the item. If the output is full, check warehouse capacity and the next consumer. If the buildings have stock but still fail to connect, inspect camp reach, roads, rope bridges, cliff paths, ladders, and any other required connection.
Place warehouses as supply hubs
Warehouses are storage buildings and supply-chain hubs. A production building can have a correct recipe and still underperform when the warehouse is too far away, the route is disconnected, or Fetchers cannot keep up with the movement required. The city-building material repeatedly returns to warehouse placement, vertical transport, and connections because cliff settlements make distance a practical part of production.
When expanding, place storage where several related buildings can reach it without long walking paths. Match production ratios
A chain should be balanced across its stages instead of judged by one building's displayed rate. If a refiner waits for input, the upstream producer or transport route may be too small. Protect upkeep production
Stew and Booze are consumed continuously by workers and crew. A large stockpile can hide a negative balance, so an expanding population or a new ship may drain it after several minutes. Check net production after adding housing, assigning more Drifters, upgrading a ship, or recruiting a more demanding crew tier.
Crew upgrades introduce more complex needs and can reach resources that the settlement does not yet produce. Connect new camps to old chains

The camp should be treated as an extension of the existing network, with storage, paths, and transport planned before advanced production.
